The news feed problem

Dozens of headlines.
You have to analyze them all.

Traditional news feeds still leave the hard part to you: read every headline, figure out what matters, remove duplicate coverage, and interpret the day yourself — right when you want to make a trading decision.

Traditional news workflow

Read, sort, deduplicate, interpret.

You do the analysis yourself — at exactly the moment you want to make a trading decision.

The AI summary problem

When it happened matters.
A lot.

Generic AI company summaries often mix fresh catalysts with older news in one paragraph. That makes it hard to tell what is actually new — and whether the market may already have absorbed the information.

Generic AI company summary

Useful facts. Unclear timing.

The information may be correct, but the trading context is missing.

INTC · Company summary
Intel was upgraded by Northland Capital, reached an important manufacturing milestone with ASML, and recently had its price target lowered by Mizuho.
But when did each event happen? Today? Earlier this week? Last Friday? Without that context, you cannot quickly tell whether the information is fresh or whether the market may have already reacted to it.
Tailwind Trader

Fresh news stays fresh. Old news stays old.

Every event remains attached to its trading day, ET time, and original source — so today’s catalyst never gets blended with last week’s news.

Timing is trading context. What happened, when it happened and which source reported it — so you can judge for yourself whether the market has already moved on it.
The core idea

AI analyzes what happened.
You decide what matters.

The analysis is shared. The importance is personal. That separation makes the score faster, more transparent and actually yours.

01

Analyze

AI groups related headlines into events, removes noise, and classifies what actually happened.

02

Personalize

You set how much 19 event families — such as earnings, analyst actions, partnerships or legal events — matter to you.

03

Score

The day score is recalculated from those events and your rules instantly. No new AI call is needed when you change a rule.

Every morning Tailwind Trader scores the news across the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 on its own. Before you type a single ticker you see what moved since the last close — and a quiet morning is called a quiet morning.

Tailwind Trader morning briefing: the highest scored news across the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 since the last close, positive and negative side by side, where the news is concentrated by sector, continuing stories, and the day's macro releases.

FAQ

Questions before you put it next to your charts.

Direct answers to the things that matter for a trading tool.

How is a Catalyst Score calculated?

AI first groups and classifies the important events for a ticker. Your event-family weights are then applied in code to calculate the day score. Changing your weights does not require a new AI analysis.

Is the score a buy or sell recommendation?

No. It is a structured reading of published news through your event weights. Tailwind Trader does not predict price direction and does not tell you to buy or sell a security.

Why is this different from an AI company summary?

The product is organized by trading day. It shows what was published today, yesterday and on prior days separately, so an old analyst note does not silently become part of a vague “current” summary.

Will I get an alert for every new headline?

No. The core alert is threshold-based. You are notified when your personal Catalyst Score crosses the positive or negative threshold you selected, rather than every time another headline appears.

Can I still read the original headlines?

Yes. Every event lists the headlines behind it, with publisher, ET timestamp and a link to the original article. Tailwind Trader organizes the news and scores it — it never hides it.

What happens when multiple publishers repeat the same story?

Related coverage is grouped into one event. Repeated headlines do not multiply the event’s importance. Material updates can still change the score when the underlying facts actually change.

Which trading platforms does the hotkey support?

The automatic ticker-reading workflow is designed first for TradingView on Windows. Other programs can still use manual ticker entry or the copy-and-hotkey fallback.

Can I keep the window narrow on a crowded desktop?

Yes. The product is designed to adapt to different window sizes, including narrow and vertical layouts, while keeping the core score and current events visible.

Is there a Mac version?

The current desktop build is Windows-first. A browser path is planned so Mac users are not dependent on a native desktop build.

What are macro risk reminders?

Simple warnings before a small set of high-impact scheduled US macro events, such as CPI or an FOMC decision. They are reminders, not a full economic calendar and not a directional macro score.

See what matters before you trade.

Stop sorting through stock news yourself. Let Tailwind Trader organize the day, score it your way and get your attention when something important changes.
